Disclaimer

This blog is a completely bias personal list of what I feel are the best Dragon Ball Z villains from all of the Dragon Ball Z movies outside of the main TV show. Frieza is not on this list because he appeared in the TV and manga first. Beerus is in the list because he appeared in the movies first. While I never reviewed the resurrection of Frieza I have seen it, I just feel Frieza is more of a main villain as he has history with Dragon Ball Z so I didn't include him, and I'm able to do so because again, this list is bias and a personal choice. Also I do not think Bio-Broly and Broly count as the same villain, despite feeling that Cooler and Meta Cooler are, as Bio-Broly is a clone and not the original Broly. Thank you guys for reading!

WARNING possible spoilers WARNING

#12. Bio-Broly

Bio_Broly_reappears

So Bio-Broly, the clone of Broly, is a mess. He only characterizes off of what you know about his original body of Broly. Bio-Broly then turns into a goo monster, and while there are some cool fight scenes, it is rather short. He then takes over this evil melting goop and turns bigger, but is defeated by water because he stepped in it. It was a short fight, and slightly boring while his story is okay it is just not up there as one of the greats.

#11. Lord Slug

Dragon-Ball-Z-Lord-Slug

Lord Slug is a very old super Namekian, and when he copies Piccolo and wishes for youth, he begins freezing Earth while Goku takes hours to wake up. The fight is pretty cool and Slug isn't a bad character, but his suit is just odd and he has no real background despite the story he is in being rather well done.

#10. Garlic Jr.

While yes he appeared in the TV show, it was a filler arc, and Garlic Jr. was in the movies first. The only thing I personally dislike about him is I find his design to be slightly boring. His fight was cool and his connection to Kami is awesome, but it would help him more if we knew more about his father that he loved so much to become evil for.

#9. Turles

Turles

I'm a sucker for dark reflections. Turles is a dark reflection of Goku, created by a what if Goku turned out evil, then they gave him his own origin and turned him on Goku with a large evil tree. The plot behind him is a little odd, but his creation and concept is awesome, adn I like his blue armor design so yeah I really do like Turles. The fight with him is pretty cool as well, as he talks to Goku like an evil counterpart.

#8. Bojack

Bojack.BojackUnbound

I like Bojack's design as well as his super form are pretty good, the main issue is he comes out of nowhere and has little background story other then he was sealed in a star because he was evil. His minion can achieve this super form though which is nice, and he does lend himself to some great fight scenes, especially the final bout with Gohan he has and his death scene.

#7. Janemba

This thing is a fun villain and his stronger form is well designed. His fat yellow form is just weird, his background is weirder, and his actions are... this is probably one of the trippier movies and thus the villain is pretty weird in his own right I suppose. Still the fight with him is epic and when he picks up a small club and turns it into a sword, that moment is pretty awesome especially since the sword's design is awesome as well. His moves are pretty cool as well, and this is one of the nicer forms of chaotic evil I suppose.

#6. Dr. Wheelo

While not nearly as powerful as some of the previous foes, his design and background are just well done. It is awesome that he believes Master Roshi is the world's strongest fighter, and is surprised to know Goku surpassed him. This villain does what we forget to do and that is remember Roshi was better then just comic relief. The fight with him is still pretty decent and it is a good background for a villain.

#5. Hirudegarn

This giant bug is kind of lore heavy, being a creature of evil that a tribe on another planet wanted to control, setting this beast up as a thing of destruction was spot on. Also knowing Tapion's younger brother was killed by the thing just makes this thing that much darker of a monster. His design is also pretty good and his death scene is epic, his fight scenes aren't the greatest but they are still pretty good.

#4. Android 13

Created by a villain from the show, Android 13 is a red neck android character, and while him and his cronies are all stereotypes they get their job done. 13 himself actually is aware of how petty Dr. Gero's revenge schemes are but isn't about to fight his programming on the situation either which I thought was a nice twist. His design is pretty good especially when he is in his super mode which is the android version of the super saiyen, and his fights are pretty awesome to a punch that was somewhat brutal.

#3. Beerus

While most of the villains on the list are dark and trying to be frightening, here we have Beerus who is the god of destruction in the Dragon Ball Z world. Appearing in the movies first, he fights Goku hoping to fight a super saiyen god however that won't stop him from enjoying a party and eating as much food as possible. He literally wants to come back and destroy Earth because of a spicy sauce, even after sparing most of the planet. He also only destroys a piece of Earth to spare it because he finds Goku and Vegeta interesting. His design is awesome, his fights are awesome, is background is pretty good, and he actually is funny.

#2. Cooler

The brother of main series villain Frieza (and now movie villain Frieza), Cooler is part of the same race and comes to Earth to see just who killed his brother. Looking similar to Frieza but taller and a better color scheme Cooler shows he has a new form, and this new form is designed so well I can't help but love it. The fight is epic and the story is awesome, and Cooler comes back again as a movie villain this time as a robot. Mecha Cooler is designed well enough, and his wire body attached to the large computer eating Namek is cool, and the origin of his return is well written even if those fights aren't as well animated. And that is the reason he is number 2 on this list, his fight scenes the second time he appears just aren't as good.

#1. Broly

Broly_11

Was there any doubt? They may not have captured the awesomeness when they tried to clone him into Bio-Broly, but they tried to clone him to have him in a third movie, that is how awesome Broly is. He is the legendary super saiyen, a form that is given to a super saiyen once every thousand years, and he is basically a tank in that form. His father felt he was too dangerous and mind controlled him, but since he was in the same hospital as Goku, and was driven nuts by his screaming, Broly's insanity out powers the machine controlling him. The fight is epic, and even through is insanity he is smart enough to know his dad was going to double cross him. Broly lives and ends up on Earth where he fights kid Trunks and Goten, though if Broly was seriously trying to kill them they'd be dead. Instead he messes with them enjoying the sport until Gohan arrives in which cause Broly knew Gohan was a serious fight, and entered legendary mode again. Even super saiyen 2 Gohan wasn't stronger then Broly, but could make a better stand then before. The fights with Broly are awesome, his background adds an interesting twist on the lore of the universe even if it isn't canon, his design and outfit are awesome, no other movie villain lives up to Broly's level. This is my favorite movie villain in Dragon Ball Z history so far. And yes, even if Frieza was on this list, Broly would still win.
