Hello ladies and gentlemen, this is Sauron here, today I'm here to discuss my own ideas on where the Arkham series could go from here. It has been roughly a year since Bruce Wayne retired, and there is now a new "batman" that is running around with fear toxin. Soon the real Batman returns, but could it be Bruce Wayne, or someone else? This is a list of villains I'd want for this sequel.
Keep in mind, I'm aware Arkham Knight was suppose to be the end of the series, but honestly I expect that Rocksteady Montreal the creators of Arkham Origins won't let this series die, especially since Arkham Knight was over hyped. While Montreal isn't likely to do a sequel and rather do a prequel, it is still a possibility as Arkham Knight left things wide open. The entire point of today however is to talk about Batman villains and the things we'd like to see from them in a future game, I just happen to set it all in a sequel story to Arkham Knight. Let's go.
The intelligent maniac, Riddler is more than annoyed at being beaten during the City of Fear incident. Afterwards Riddler has captured a number of politicians this time as well as Alfred though Enigma was looking for Bruce Wayne. Wearing a suit and tie to look a little refined, Riddler of course gives back Alfred last after every riddle is solved. That being said, Riddler isn’t there. Turns out he is the main villain, and only fighting a large amount of villains broken out of Black Gate then a car ride to capture the Riddler. Turns out the Riddler actually knows who Batman is, and is thrilled that Batman won the fight at the end of the game as who else could challenge the Riddler?
Smuggling weapons for Riddler and Bane, Penguin still has people working for his gang, though after being defeated several times his power is shifting, thus he is needing to work for Black Mask who is using a large amount of mercenaries to fight him. Batman takes out Penguin trying to sell turrents, however Penguin manages to use Killer Moth to fight Batman, as Batman defeats them both.
Losing too many men, Two-Face joins rank with the man pulling the strings by the name of Owl Man. Allowing Two-Face to run with power. Two-Face began to murder the people responsible for his second half, leaving the victims scarred and Batman to discover the connection among them with the last victim being a man Batman remembers as the person who scarred Harvey. Batman then goes after him in a crazy coin based death trap.
Back to Gotham with some of his mercenaries, Bane has kicked Venom out of his system. Working for Owl Man, Bane comes back to prove himself worthy against the Bat. Bane uses his wits to trick the Bat into several traps including a fist fight with the Bat using strength and strategy to fight. After several attacks and traps Bane is eventually captured.
A younger villain, Anarky is a terrorist working for the downfall of the Gotham government. Using bombs as a way to trap people, Anarky ended up helping the Riddler and his entrapment sidequests occur during Riddler’s side quests. Using bombs provided by the Riddler, Batman actually tracks Anarky with Riddler’s hints. Anarky not realizing he has been betrayed, tries to fight the Bat using skill and strategy to his advantage, but is defeated and taken in by the Batman.
Seemingly enjoying the idea of working with people in masks, Black Mask is once again the man running the main gang of Gotham. Once again using Halloween, Black Mask in junction with the Court of Owls seems to be the one running the show, encouraging many people to loot and steal what they can in an effort to kill Bruce Wayne, however after the Black Mask eventually finds Batman he realizes that Bruce Wayne isn’t the one behind the mask anymore. Black Mask lived through Red Hood’s attack.
Back leaving murder victims behind, Calendar Man is back leaving a few victims from Halloween as well as making Batman have to solve previous murders, since Calendar Man believes Bruce Wayne is dead and that the new Batman is someone else. Calendar man proves he has lost some weight since Arkham City.
Pretending to be Arkham Knight as well as Bruce Wayne, Clayface is back as a pain for Owl Man. Clayface is posing as Bruce Wayne to murder people and also pretending to be Arkham Knight to throw Batman off the trail of the murders. Batman must use crime scene skills to solve the murders and then fight Clayface.
Working for Black Mask now, Shark is working as the money launderer for Sionis and the Court of Owls. Batman must find Shark by following the money trails after Black Mask is taken out.
No longer posing as Bruce Wayne, Hush is now trying to pose as Batman, hired by the Court of Owls to keep the new Batman off Owl Man’s scent. He is a simple pawn but fights with a large pistol when confronted.
A large piece of muscle working for Black Mask, Killer Croc is hired once again as muscle. Killer Croc proves, at least to Black Mask, that the new Batman is not Bruce Wayne. Killer Croc is seen around Black Mask often but is left to fight the new Batman after him and Black Mask are confronted.
A mercenary hired by and working for the Penguin. Using gadgets and a glue gun, this guy can also fly.
Leading a cult that was reformed recently, Zeus believes to be the reincarnation of Zeus from Greek legend. Using an electric staff, Zeus needs to be tracked down using electrical signals in the new Batmobile. Cult members are helping the riots and are ganging up on police specifically, which Batman uses to track them as well.
After a year of someone using fear toxin and similar to the Batman running around, a new Batman returns to stop things after Nightwing, Red Robin, and Red Hood have failed to stop the man. Going after Scarecrow first who him and the others were released due to them being “affected” by fear toxin. The new Batman takes Scarecrow out first, but after being defeated, the new Batman learns that Scarecrow was trying to send his fear toxin all over Gotham through a candy factory, and has nothing to do with the fear using Batman who is using an older version of the toxin.
A time based baddy, Clock King is similar to the Riddler except his riddles are time based. Batman must tune in to find his radio frequencies and find out where the Clock King took the current mayor. Using a sword, the Clock King works alone.
Building back up his army, Scar Face is back, and rivals of Black Mask. After Black Mask’s men are taken out, Shark started sending some of the dirty money, and some of the evidence to fully take down Black Mask’s gang, to Scar Face in an effort to join with Scar Face’s men, however this ends up getting Batman right in the middle of a meeting with Scar Face himself which allows Batman to collect the rest of the evidence as well as capture the Ventriloquist.
The leader of the court of owls, Owl Man is using fear toxin to fight crime however he is fighting crime in an effort to help the Court of Owls rather than the people of Gotham. Using the court of owls as well as the cult in which Azreal was a part of, Owl Man is actually the creation of the Riddler. Using his knowledge, Riddler realized that Batman was Bruce Wayne before the events in Arkham Knight. Knowing this, Riddler found the lost Wayne son, brother to Bruce Wayne and began turning him into Owl Man as a mysterious benefactor. Owl Man also quickly became the head of the Court of Owls all a part of his benefactor’s or Riddler’s plan. Owl Man is eventually found and defeated by the new Batman.
One of the many body guards for Owl Man and the Court of Owls who watch over Gotham. There is a really skilled one who is thought to be Owl Man for a time or thought to be an undead Bruce Wayne, but its identity is never revealed.
