Disclaimer
this is a personal top ten boss fights based off of my own personal history which includes a lot of Nintendo games. I'm only including fights from games I've beaten so despite playing the fight, Guard Armor from Kingdom Hearts is out. If you have a difference in opinion feel free to suggest games as well as boss fights in the comment section. Thank you for reading.

Here I go mentioning most of my history is Nintendo, then I talk about my history with Elder Scrolls. Seriously, this thing is attached to a side quest you can activate during the DLC Dawnguard. It is a fun side quest of finding a specific Dwarven forge, and this thing is the final fight for it. That being said my sneak was really high and it didn't take long for me to actually kill it due to the high bonus sneak attack I had at the time.
If you follow my blog you know I beat this game last year. Still, one of the most annoying boss fights was this guy. Ironically he is also one of the more recognizable from the game. He is a chicken, in a mech suit of legs who was originally crushing bananas for the Tikis, but he ends up in a fight with Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong in the factory level. I didn't mind the boss too much but still disliked him a bit.
These creatures are just too fun to fight. Finding two of them in Lethal Lava Land which is in the second part of the castle, Mario much punch the thing off the platform into the lava. It is a simple fight and nothing too exciting but it is still fun, especially after you gain the shell and surf over and slaughter the smaller and bigger bullies for fun.
Not shocking there is a pokemon fight here considering these lists are based off pokemon types. While I never beat a pokemon game past Silver, I still managed to defeat her despite how easy she was as she has two electric steel pokemon and a ground steel pokemon. Still her set up is pretty good, as you need medicine to help a pokemon in the local lighthouse before she will fight you.
One of the better fights to come out of Skyward Sword, Koloktos is a large metal guardian statue. While he seems easy at first, whip his arms and hit his weak point, he eventually stands up and closes off his weak point forcing you to... have fun, whip off his arm, steal his sword and wreck havoc on the boss. Yeah, fun boss fight in one of the better dungeons of the game.
I've never been able to beat the non-3-D Sonic games. I still had fun fighting this thing in Sonic Generations though. This giant beast is fought by old Sonic while new Sonic watches. The thing is piloted by Dr. Eggman of the past and the fight goes from the original 2-D fight to a more 3 dimensional fight while still keeping 2-D for past Sonic. A really good boss fight, though I'm certain it is not as hard as the original even if I never fought the original.
Nick Fury possessed by a machine called nanites, this monster has powers of other people possessed by the nanites so naturally he will use them as much as he can. Using powers from Electro, A-Bomb, Bishop, Havok, and others, this guy knows how to fight and knows how to use powers against you. A really powerful opponent.
I don't know if it is the design or the actual fight, but I love this thing. Using the metal on the boss, this thing heats itself up and charges Kratos. A direct fight doesn't work and requires a bit of thinking to out maneuver, but it is a fun fight none the less. While the thing is in armor and has a more flesh and bone based underbelly, it is still an awesome design and still wears plenty of metal during the fight.
The final boss fight of Banjo Tooie, this drill is known for ripping out walls and killing an entire family of Jinjos. After Grunty kills her sisters she jumps into the Hag 1 and fights the bear and bird team in it. Using magic as well as the drill's weapons, Banjo and Kazooie must fight and shoot both Grunty and the drill, destroying it from inside and out. Once the drill blows up it leaves Grunty with nothing but a head.
Probably not the hardest boss on this list, Smithy is the main metal worker, forging his own army to take over the Mushroom Kingdom in an effort to gain all the wishing stars. Of course he is wearing the last one on his chest. During the first phase of the fight he forges workers to help him fight, during the second phase he reforges his large metal head into different forms with different strengths and weaknesses. Think he looks tough? Well if you do what I did, and skip as many possible fights as you can, don't use or level up Peach, and use an incredibly weak weapon for Bowser, and have no armor for any characters with your only items being pick me ups, YES HE IS HARD. If you have armor and properly level up he isn't that bad. When I first played this game, I was a little kid and didn't understand RPGs at the time, I was only playing the game because Mario was in it. Also I never really liked Princess Peach and had no idea about her healing abilities in this particular game. Still Smithy has an awesome design and is a great boss battle in a slightly weird game.
