So I FORGOT I was suppose to do a review of Thor Dark World today. Oops. I was busy playing Assassin's Creed III so the review was moved to Wednesday. I'll still review Captain America on Friday. I won't forget. I promise. I'll tell Cortana about it (my phone). Anyway let's talk about DC comics instead.
As some of you know, the trailer for Batman v. Superman Dawn of Justice came out. While I'm more of a Marvel fan then I am a DC fan, I'm still excited for the idea of a GOOD Justice League movie. That being said, DC has had a few flops for movies. This is also based from the Man of Steel movie which I thought was okay. So in anticipation here are 10 things I want from the movies of this series.

One thing the DC universe has is a bunch of movies that were either okay or bad, while the cartoons they have something that shows what is good. Justice League, Batman, Batman Beyond, all of it, these are good cartoons. What works with these cartoons? Every episode has a sense of adventure. Superman cartoons have him saving people and dealing with unreal situations, Batman cartoons have him fighting the darker villains in a whimsical way. These work because they don't shy away from the insanity and the outlandish that is DC comics. The Iron Man movie works because while it is grounded in a way, it is also close to a comic story as well with a few creative differences. It allows the comic story to be its own thing, updated but not completely changed.
The main reason I want this is because Wonder Woman is popular as an Amazon princess from an island. Aquaman is popular as the fallen prince from Atlantis. There is a rumor going around that they are Kryptonians. This could be good, but could be horrid. As long as they stay relatively close to their comic counterparts with it. If Wonder Woman replaces Super Girl I am not sure that will work. Also having half of the Justice League from outer space may make them harder to relate to, not that Aquaman is incredibly relatable in a lot of ways. Just saying I want them to stay true, if they edit the background, I don't want them to do it too much.

Yes Heath Ledger's Joker was awesome. If Leto tries to be this Joker he will fail. I want Leto's Joker to be good for different reasons. I want Leto to do his own thing, not copy what worked before, because it won't work. I also notice that they are hinting that Ben's Batman is the Batman from the previous Nolan movies. I'm not sure if he is or not, but I hope Ben does his own thing. He sounded a lot darker but not in the same way as Bale which is good, but I don't want him to try and out do Bale either. I want originality with the actors.

One thing I'm worried about is Deadshot being portrayed by Will Smith. I think Will Smith is a good actor and I feel he will do a good job, but Will Smith might just be so big his name may over shadow Deadshot. Deadshot is awesome, if you've played Arkham City or watched Arrow... or read the comics.... you'd already know this. However while he has seen some more popularity over the years and people actually KNOW who he is now, he is no Joker either. If Will Smith was Joker, Will couldn't over shadow Joker as Joker is that big of a name. Deadshot is not big enough.
Also Hal Jordan being more like Ryan Reynolds just to cast Ryan Reynolds. Never saw the movie, but it doesn't sound like a good idea. Hal has a sense of humor, but Ryan is a little excitable and Hal actually isn't. He disobeys orders but he isn't portrayed exactly like he should from what the main complaints. I don't want Deadshot to be more like Will Smith, I want Will Smith to act like Deadshot, which is the point of hiring an actor.

Okay time to talk about more comic book situations. I want to see Red Lanterns. I want to see multiple lanterns, but mostly the Red Lanterns as they are interesting. They are pissed at everything, violent, and they have a house cat. I want to see the Red Lanterns the most, but I would LOVE to see all the other Lanterns as well. I've become a fan, what can I say.

Since CW Flash isn't going to be the movie Flash. I still hope they use the Speed Force however, because the Speed Force while confusing is awesome. The Speed Force is where most of the "Flashes" gain their power from and is the most story bending plot point ever. Don't believe me? The Speed Force created the New 52. Yes, Barry Allen, the main man of the Flash, used the Speed Force to create the New 52 by "fixing" the timelines because Flash is the original time traveler. Yes, it is confusing but interesting to say the least.

Want people to actually care about Aquaman? Do this. Seriously do this. Throne of Atlantis is possibly the greatest, if not one of the greatest Aquaman stories ever. If you are going to make people like Aquaman, you HAVE to show him at his best, or people will still believe he is useless. Him in the middle of a war between Atlantis and the surface is a great way to make him an awesome character.

The main man of the Suicide Squad... or he was until Harley Quinn and Deadshot took over. Deadshot is awesome don't get me wrong but... Deathstroke is better. This guy is a threat to any and all, and they could go with his comic version or the Teen Titans cartoon version called Slade... or a mix between both. Somehow this guy HAS to be in a movie or two. He is awesome, and this one isn't just my bias, but my friend's as well, as he loves this guy. So WB make it happen.

Pretty much the Thanos of the DC Universe, this is one character I actually like more then the Marvel counterpart. Keep in mind I'm mostly a Marvel fan. Yes, Batman recently used a mecha suit to kick Darkseid's butt but he is still awesome. If he isn't the main enemy in the Justice League movie I'll be disappointed. Yes this is another bias one, but seriously DC fans, who doesn't want to see Darkseid live action (portrayed correctly)?

Yeah, Joker is my second favorite Batman villain, the most popular Batman villain, therefor there are far better and far more stories with him then Riddler. The newest Swan Song of Joker would be Death in the Family and Endgame, which makes the Joker seem not only deadly and insane, but intelligent and immortal as well. These are ripe with the possibility of being movies. Can't wait, WB make it happen.
While I'm trying to plead with WB here, I have to admit my past with Warner has not been the most pleasant. See I use to make AMVs or Anime Music Videos. Most popular artists in the industry are owned by Warner Bros. I may have had a Death Note at the time...
Enjoy.
